CREATE THE CUSTOM CAKE OF YOUR DREAMS!
1. CHOOSE EACH CAKE LAYER
All custom cakes start off with a premium 3-layer cake base. Choose what the bottom, middle and top layers of cake will be. You may want to mix it up a little between the three layers (see above picture), or you may want to stick with one cake type for your whole cake. Each of the three cake layers are customizable!
2. CHOOSE YOUR FROSTING
Choose the type of frosting you want to wrap your cake with. If you choose classic Vanilla, you will be given options to add a colour to the Vanilla frosting. The same applies to Cream Cheese frosting.
The remaining frosting options come in a wide variety of flavours and pre-selected colours to match the flavour.
3. CHOOSE YOUR FILLING
Pick the filling of your choice. This is the good stuff that's sandwiched between the three layers of your cake. Fillings add a wow factor when you slice into your cake and serve up the slices. Taste and texture heaven is within reach! With a three layer cake, there will be two sandwiched layers of filling.
4. CHOOSE YOUR CAKE DRIP
Cake drips make your cake look absolutely elevated & gorgeous! You can choose a creamy and rich chocolate ganache, or our specially formulated colour drips. If you picked the 'colour drip' option, you'll see the colour options appear below where you can apply a complementary or contrasting drip colour.
5. CHOOSE YOUR TOP BORDER
The top border is the decorative frosting that is piped on the top of your cake. It follows the round edge of your cake. We offer two popular options - rosettes and classic. You can see examples of these borders on most of our standard cakes. For a minimal, sleek look you can also go with no border at all.
6. CHOOSE YOUR TOPPINGS
Pick your preferred toppings. You can choose whatever and however many toppings you want, but keep in mind that sometimes less is more when you want a professional, refined look. As in the above picture, toppings follow the frosting border around the cake. That said, If you want to go big... you go grrrl!
7. CHOOSE A BOTTOM BORDER
The bottom border offers a choice of decorative toppings which are applied to the 'lower third' area on the side of the cake. In the above picture, you see cookie crumbles as the bottom border. On our standard cakes, we like to use the bottom border to 'hint' at what lies inside of the cake.
8. PERSONAL INSCRIPTION
Write the inscription of your choice. This is the personal message on top of your cake. All inscriptions are piped with frosting in cursive writing. Please keep in mind that space is limited (especially on a 6" cake) so three words is about the max we can fit (ie: Happy Birthday Lucas). If you really need four words, choose short words or use abbreviations.
